No, I'm not talking about myself, although I am short and sweet too.
This entry is going to be a bit shorter than normal. I got somewhere I need to be and I won't be back until later on this evening. I wanted to get at least a little something in.
I feel like I ate too much yesterday so I am gonna make a quick list right here:
- Cup of coffee and cup of cereal for breakfast
- Banana
- Cheese stick
- Salad with carrots for lunch
- Two big bbq chicken breasts, baked potato, corn for dinner
- Banana with pb wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla with a glass of milk
That really isn't that much. Might even be too little I guess.
I think because it was the first time in a loooooong time I had seconds at dinner I was/am feeling guilty. I made twice as much food as normal since I knew I wouldn't feel like cooking dinner tonight. I must say though, I only had one baked potato and potatoes are a weakness (along with the already mentioned bagels and cereal).
Tomorrow I am going to kind of do a "Then vs Now" blog about what used to be in our cupboards and fridge and what is today. Should be fun and a little embarrassing!
*Chelle's Healthy Challenge Challenge Update*
The bowl is already filling up!
The response to yesterday's announcement was overwhelming! I knew all I had to do was offer some free stuff! The winner will not be disappointed!
Be sure to add your name if you are leaving a comment anonymously but still want to be entered in the drawing!
If you are unsure of what I am talking about make sure to check out yesterday's blog entry!
Challenge:
We are gonna go with another easy one! I want to get the newbies used to doing my challenges before I start kicking your behind!
Samantha emailed me a few nice challenge ideas and earned herself three entries in my contest!
Here's one of them -
"Drink more water! Many people confuse their thirst and hunger signals. Also, proper hydration increases metabolism."
If you have a bottle of water in front of you, take a nice, long, healthy gulp! If you don't have any in front of you - GET OFF YOUR BEHIND RIGHT NOW AND GO GET SOME!
Don't particularly care for water? Try some of those Crystal Light singles pouches to add a little flavor!

I did twenty wall push ups yesterday! :D
Drinking water right now- gotta love the office cooler!
I'm looking forward to hearing what used to be in your cupboards. If you don't buy junk, you don't eat junk!
Ok, water, DONE. :)
I also did some wall push-ups yesterday and a little work out of my own watch TBL. For all that have little ones, I did something that I didn't know would cause me a work-out. I rocked Katelyn, not in a rocking chair, but on the couch, forward and back and I felt it in my tummy when I was done. She was appreciative and so was I!
Okay, am at work, but am by myself and I am going to do the 20 wall push ups. 'Dear Lord, please don't let my boss come through the door.' LOL.
Here are some things Michael and I like to eat: Gen Soy Bars (Chocolate Mint/ or Chocolate Brownie Fudge Flavor). They are protein bars and are pretty yummy. Lately, they have been on sale at Kroger for $1.00 and so have our other fav. protein bars: Balance Bars(especially Caramel Nut Blast, that tastes like Snickers!). These are fast meals for us when we are working or have to go, go, go.
Second, a co-worker of mine is a bellydancer and I tell you what, that is a great workout! I have ordered some bellydancing videos from the library and do them every other day and it really tones your waist! She let me know the origins of bellydancing. It was used to celebrate birth and women would surround the woman in labor and proceed to bellydance as a celebratory thing. And the woman in labor would use bellydancing moves as a way to push the baby out. I thought that was totally cool!
Well, that's all from me. Sorry so long.
OK. Water. CHECK. Your right, I'm pretty full. I did my wall pushups again today, but I did 30 this time. FEEL THE BURN. I do have to admit I am not a huge fan of plain water. But I have found that I love Propel Fit Water (Made by Gatorade) to be the best flavored water out there. It only has 25 calories per bottle (16.9 oz)
No Fat, 70mg of Sodium, 6g of Carbs, and 4g of Sugar I know it is not as good as regular water, but I love it and I have to admit, its better than juice or pop. Its a start for me. YEAH US, ON OUR WAY TO A SMALLER HEALTHIER VERSION OF OUR PREVIOUS SELVES!
I drank only water all day today. Good challenge. I'm going to do my wall pushups as soon as I log off.
Maybe you could get Susan to teach a bellydancing class at church!
A challenge idea: read labels and keep your sugar intake to less than 100 grams per day.
Anne
Good job on the water intake ladies!
Cheri - I know all about the rocking without a rocker! What did you think about TBL? I am getting sick of the weepy dudes!! I hope Ali wins!
Susan - Thanks for the heads up on the protein bars! Anne gave me some really good Pria bars a while back. I finished them all off and have been meaning to go find some more! My mom took belly dancing classes and loved it. We should get some ladies together up at church and do a video sometime!
Heather - 30 wall push ups?? You go girl!
Anne - So glad you joined us!
