First off - a few adorable random pics from our zoo trip yesterday -
And now for a quick reminder -
The 19th of May is fast approaching.
Do you have your goals written down? Are you reminding yourself of them daily?
I received an email from the event coordinator for the race in July. The site should be updated soon and registration should be available online next week.
*a quick story not related to anything health wise*
My hubby talked to a celebrity on the phone yesterday!
Octavio called our friend Chris to find out about going to the Third Day concert and Chris tells him to hold on. He hands the phone to someone else and Mac Powell gets on the phone and invites Octavio to last night's concert.
Mac Powell is the lead singer of Third Day. Their songs ROCK!
After the concert Octavio got to meet the band!
Here's a pic of him with Third Day
(and Chris, Leslie, and Scott, too)!
*back to health and on to my new achievement*
Any of you readers out there have a pair of "goal jeans"?
You know, the ones that don't fit but you can't seem to get rid of them. They are either brand new and you bought them too small on purpose or you used to be able to wear them way back when.
No matter where you got them, now they are sitting in your closet collecting dust.
Guess what?
MINE AREN'T COLLECTING DUST ANYMORE!!
So, I have been able to put them on a couple of times in the past few years but earlier this week was the first time in FIVE YEARS that I can put them on without having a muffin top!
And I am so NOT SUCKING IN!
They are a size 16 and I have been in a size 16 for a while, but these jeans are pre "stretch era" jeans.
Oh yeah, these babies are 100% cotton, no spandex, no stretch!

I HEART CRUNCHES!

Weekend Challenge:
Do 50 crunches Saturday and Sunday too!
I am mean! Muahahahahahahaha!

We met Third Day too! How we love those guys!!
Love the zoo pictures! Your famiy is adorable. I also loved the jean pic... you are such a sexy thang! Go you!
Michael has a nice sweater that he used to be able to wear but is now tight around the gut area. During Spring cleaning, he asked me to keep it out. He keeps it on our dresser as a reminder of his goal.
We did my nightly routine yesterday and I was proud of my 20 crunches. But now I've gotta do 50?! Yikes! But, I'm going to do it. I want sexy abs!
I haven't "trained" for the May 19th official training, but have been jump roping to strenthen my heart and build my stamina. I'm ready to start running though!
Thanks for being a committed blogger!
Holy Cow, Look at you!!!! Amazing, that is my inspiration for getting on the crunch band wagon! haha.
Those pictures are adorable! I love your family! :-D
I am so jealous of Octavio, I love Third Day. What an amazing opportunity for him.
I'm not worried about the 50 crunches, I've done them the last two days and I made myself go to 50so I'm going to keep it up for the weekend. Six pack here I come! haha
My Goodness Michelle, I LOVED your news! And you didnt think that it was anything BIG. Ok, I've got to get down on the floor and start some crunches. I am entered in another walk tomorrow morning to do, so some more crunches will be good before then :)
Keep up the great work, I am looking forward to your Monday morning blog! :)
when i read your blog today i actually had a tear run down my cheek. i'm such a sap. :) maybe its because i totally have that pair of jeans collecting dust and being so happy that you dusted yours off. all the while listening to that beautiful song by third day! keep up the great work michelle. :)
Michelle, You are one HOT MAMA. Go girl!
Ok! I'm back. I've been MIA for a couple of days, but I just caught up on all of you blogs from last week. You are doing an absolute spledid job! I can't believe how far you have come in such a short time. I however lost all of that weight a year ago and it is slowly creeping back. I HAVE TO STOP IT! I have ate fast food all week! I am just craving it. However, I start a new job M-F 9-5 in Oak Park, an hour and a half drive. So I am hoping that being gone at work 5 days a week, for 11 hours a day, I will be so busy catching up on housework I will not be so bored and tempted to eat.
Now about those crunches. I must not be doing them right, I dont' seem to feel any burn. So I need a little instruction. The ones I have been doing are just not working. Thanks for everything you have done! Making me realize when I fall off the wagon and know that I need to run and catch back up. thanks again!
I completed 50 crunches yesterday. I hated it, but I did it! Will be working on another 50 tonight.
Hope you're having a great weekend!
I did another set of 50 crunches last night. Didn't seem as hard but that might have been because my hubby tricked me. I have a hard time counting and correctly breathing (I'm sure I'm not a blonde!) so he counted for me and I did more than intended!
